To the doctor we go...

Well all day today Ashley's eye was kind of draining this green stuff.. at first it wasn't bad but half way through the day it was so thick and when she opened her eye it was stuck to her eye lashes. The poor girl I felt so bad. I called the ped. who of course was on vacation so we had to call her back up. We went to see him (he was very nice) and it turns out.. he says she has slight pink eye.. not sure how that would have happened.. but then he said she had a blocked tear duct so I think maybe its more that then pink eye. But anyway it was pretty cute.. the doctor wanted to check her ears while I was holding her. Well he started to check her ear and she started crying and next thing you know she swings her little arm up and clocks him right in the side of the head. The doctor started cracking up. She did really well though.. the only part she hated was when he was checking her ears.. it must have hurt him poking that thing in her ear. So now we have drops that we have to put in her eye 4 times a day.. we did it once today so far and she didn't mind it all... shes such a brave girl! And we also have to use a warm wash cloth and kind of gently rub around her eye and down the side of her nose to open up the tear duct. But she should back to normal in a few days.
